Making the big decision


hi all,

have come point wife asked me make decision.
having couple of mac's around (see thinks many) have been thinking of doing following.


have rmbp 2012 15 (2,6ghz 16gb ram 256 ssd) , mac pro 2,1 (2x 3ghz 8 core 32gb ram hd 7950 3gb - multiple ssd , hdd)

have been considering selling mac pro , buying developer egpu set apple.

whats idea of this? it? why? why not?

hear it's gotten these days. better windows, anyway.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
