What does this blue icon in the dock stand for?


and happens when disable it? seems wifi toggle , didn’t have toggle on series 2, got series 3 , noticed new icon.

yep wi-fi toggle manage wi-fi on watchos 4 and later. blue indicates have wi-fi enabled , available on watch, can toggle wi-fi off tapping button , turn "gray".

note not indicate using wi-fi. status need in upper left of control center, blue waves, wi-fi active, green box, bluetooth active.

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
