Photos for Mac, how import AVCHD video?


anyone know how to, or use avchd photos mac? i'm running latest macos high sierra v10.13.2 , , photos mac latest v3.

used import fine on iphoto. i've been waiting , waiting photos mac removed feature back, it's @ v3 , still no seen.

it's video digi cam. rather not convert it, use icloud photo library want imported backup.

there easy way, heard of converters, dont want have that. ideally want import , backed on icloud photo library, i'm on top tier want on here first.

 

you didn't tell version of os you're using (that's important).
1 of newer ones comes photos? (instead of iphoto).

know there still version of iphoto run under latest mac os?
(version 9.6.1).
chances can't apple (i know sounds ridiculous).
but... there (cough, choke) other ways it, if want it.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
