trendforce estimates apple record 19.1 percent market share in quarter, encompassing busy holiday shopping season, ahead of samsung's estimated 18.2 percent market share. chinese vendors huawei, oppo, , xiaomi expected round off top five.

feat impressive given samsung sells on dozen different smartphone models, including cheap $200, whereas apple caters high-end market beyond iphone se $349.
