i noticed after recent tvos update (11.2, believe, allows automatic video switching), tv screen goes black 2-3 seconds when transitioning app home screen , when going video in app app's menu. i'm assuming resolution changing or something. i'm using sdr, since 4k tv couple of years old. else experiencing this?
yes, auto switcher frame rate , / or sdr hdr. why apple did not want feature on atv , called 'inelegant'. it's 1 of things 1. totally see apple's argument - horrible seeing switching of black screen. , being honest, don't having never had before - yes it's not apple style 2. it's nice have auto frame rate switching people don't want leave on 60fps everything. apple not have switched on default best advice - how original idea apple of leaving running @ 60fps - if looks ok during films i/e/ no judder etc leave is. however, if noticing panning stutter/judder auto frame rate option first time on atv play in correct frame rate. tvs may correct output , it's ok leave atv default 60fps depends on tv.
