My Series 0 might as well be a paper weight...

upgrading watchos 4 has been incredibly frustrating. watch struggles open workout app now. doing i've done play music while running workout @ same time (favorite feature of apple watch) has become impossible since upgrade. considering never had issues before os 4, i'm confident apple has throttled device due age of battery. want give 1 more year before upgrading i'm thinking replacing battery on own. totally insane or reasonable option? thoughts?

when got series 0 watch os 2 ran fine - slow 3rd party apps - ran core functions enough. watch os 3 more or less same, though animations more jittery.

watch os 4, series 0 functional, frustrating. biggest gripe when go out run, want watch ready asap. workout app in dock i'd launch it...wait 5 seconds until app showed up...tap outdoor walk...wait...wait...wait...keep tapping because there's no gui feedback...wait...then crash had open again and...wait...wait...wait...wait...i'm angry time start walk.

there's no evidence apple has throttled apple watches. can try battery swap, slow when released. it's had 4 os upgrades on s1 chip underpowered on watch os 1. think it's slow.
