Apple Seeds First Beta of iOS 11.2.5 to Developers

apple today seeded first beta of upcoming ios 11 update developers, on 1 week after releasing ios 11.2, second major ios 11 update, , few hours after releasing ios 11.2.1.

registered developers can download ios 11.2.5 beta apple's developer center or over-the-air once proper configuration profile has been installed developer center.

it's not clear new features included in ios 11.2.5 beta, minor 11.x.x update, focus on bug fixes , security improvements rather major outward-facing changes. it's not clear why apple has skipped several numbers release 11.2.5 beta.

still waiting on 2 major ios 11 features have yet introduced, though. icloud messages , airplay 2 have not yet been implemented , added in upcoming beta.

prior ios 11.2.5, apple released ios 11.2, brought apple pay cash, apple's new peer-to-peer payments service, plus faster 7.5w wireless charging , long list of bug fixes.

well, interesting. expecting ios 11.3 beta 1, or perhaps 11.2.2...but here's 11.2.5 beta 1.

Other Unknown error

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
