Is connecting the charger cable through the usb c dongle harmful?


hi, have macbook pro 15" 2017 touch bar.

have usb c dongle has usb c port, 3 usb 3 ports, sd card, etc

love ability connect accessories single cable. connecting usb c charging cable usb c hub

way check if it's causing damage?

i've wondered well, as, can tell, appears usb-if not certify passthrough chargers, , not appear nathan k , benson l doing testing usb-c hubs charging, presumably quite busy testing cables. believe hubs physically attach side of computer have potential to, on long-term usage, affect port fitment (whether significant beyond loose ports cannot say.)

in case of satechi usb-c hub have, can't extremely comfortable how hot gets , tend use charging when physically present. again can't long-term implications are.
