Best way to set up iPhone X?


  1. restore backup (icloud or itunes encrypted backup)?
  2. use new automatic setup (copies wi-fi , apple id)?
  3. set iphone x scratch
things concerned restoring backup touch id - how translate faceid?'
wondering initial activation , setup carrier verizon. activations have been troublesome me though using previous sim card. going have update ios version right away, not sure version shipping (11.0.1, 11.0.2, 11.0.3).

tips or advice.
 

i've restored icloud. not sure version it'll shipped wouldn't update ios 11.1 until have x. touch id / face id data isn't included in backups, locally in device, there won't conflict those.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
