(Conspiracy Theories) iPhone X and maybe others (Apple Store) Shipping container question.


mostly nothing department

have noticed, on @ least usa shipments, iphone x shipping container has cross clear tape on enclosure that's been cut, placed on that, tape seals box along edge. in particular box, final tape length of box, , not fold on @ corners.

on uk unboxing, can see box has not been cross taped.

question, may not have answer... why bother tapping box, breaking seal, taping again? phone spent 6 days in china export, 3 days in korea, before making here. called apple , complained delays , apple upgraded shipping saturday delivery. got phone today. didn't ask anything, let them know concerned on unusual delays.

there possibility customs opens boxes, either looks see if it's phones or drugs, seals them up? possible phones tampered during shipping?

thoughts?
 

probably customs checking. guess on huge phone launch when millions of phones coming on seas it’s god time send bunch of fakes, or hide illegal in couple boxes.

OWC Envoy Pro SSD Enclosure - Alternatives?

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
