Help Me Upgrade my New G4 iMac :)

just got dream computer. g4 imac. boots slow, seems pretty fast after boots.

questions:

ok going sound crazy, have en emac upstairs , i'm going rob wireless card , stick in g4 imac, yes!!! can swap processors!?!? haha!

what's best os upgrade to? i'm running 10.2. i've read 10.3.9 way go, newer old girl. opinions? , should software? thanks!!

 

both emac , g4 imac have 2 major generations of hardware.
older models take pc133 sdram, limited 1gb maximum.
newer g4s take pc pc-2100 or pc-2700 ram, maximum of 2gb
and, emac takes 2 sticks, standard desktop ram.
g4 imacs have 1 slot easy access (which takes so-dimm), , requiring removing bottom housing, @ logic board full-size ram stick.
so, depends on imac g4 have. (and emac have, too!)
(the emac available 1ghz processor in both generations, each uses different ram sticks. other big difference usb 2.0, , upgraded video on newer emacs)
stick transfer emac imac 1 hardest access, , again, depends on macs have.

if have 1 ghz or higher, imac g4 has socket on logic board add optional bluetooth module (if can find one), , again, depends on imac g4 model have.

mac os x? if have older 1 (less 1ghz processor), limited tiger, although possible go leopard. tiger best older ones.

can find need installing os x (panther, or tiger, etc.) on this page ...
