iCloud on El Capitan is weird


right now, i'm using mega (at mega.co.nz) main cloud service. sync documents megasync, music music , pictures pictures. have irreplaceable software in cloud, unsynced locally. thinking icloud easy use on 2009 17" mbp on iphone. isn't.

first, fact icloud lives in ~library/mobile documents/clouddocs mind bending. it's difficult enough @ doesn't seem 1 copy documents, downloads , music folders , away it. entries in finder's sidebar @ folders? had thought of symlinks, , hard links, didn't feel right.

trying search on internet find el capitan analog sierra's desktop , documents feature ended many "upgrade sierra" comments stopped looking.

Other Unknown error

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
