Iphone 6 replacement or upgrade?


hello,

have iphone 6 64gb bottom left part of screen broken. it's been since june, , have been postponing screen replacement, since overall phone working well. however, camera having problems because not auto-focusing anymore.
went genius bar (not sure genius there btw..) , seller told me repair approx. 200€ or replacement iphone 6 339€.
in meanwhile, colleague selling wife's similar phone have not seen yet looks working 280€. tempted go solution. buy new iphone feel new models appear in early-mid 2018, iphone 8 red edition, neat...
do?

imho upgrade. repair cost equal phone's worth. replacement cost more phone worth. if it's cracked screen can sell 6 parts , $100+.

Other Unknown error

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
