Apple Releases iOS 11.1 With New Emoji, 3D Touch App Switcher, and More

apple today released ios 11.1, first major update ios 11 operating system available on iphone, ipad, , ipod touch. ios 11.1 comes more month after ios 11 first released public , launch comes after several rounds of beta testing.

update available on eligible devices over-the-air in settings app. access update, go settings --> general --> software update. eligible devices include iphone 5s , later, ipad mini 2 , later, ipad air , later, , 6th-generation ipod touch.

range of new unicode 10 emoji crazy face, pie, pretzel, t-rex, vampire, exploding head, face vomiting, shushing face, love gesture, brain, scarf, zebra, giraffe, fortune cookie, pie, hedgehog, , more have been introduced in ios 11 update, expanding number of emoji available ios users.

several emoji feature small design changes in ios 11.1, including dolphin, bee, snail, , whale characters, among others. new designs more detailed , realistic existing designs.

along these major features, ios 11 introduces fix reachability bug that's been present since release of ios 11 , brings popular 3d touch app switcher gesture lets iphone users perform 3d touch gesture @ left edge of display bring multitasking app switcher interface.

built-in keyboard in ios 11.1 offers multiple emoji symbols when using emoji-related word, there's new camera icon under restrictions, new animation when tapping status bar scroll upwards, , faster unlock animation.

OWC Envoy Pro SSD Enclosure - Alternatives?

hi there! long time reader, first time poster! wondering if might able me out question. 2013 mbp w/ retina met unceremonious end courtesy of water damage. cost repair far worthwhile purchased replacement instead. however, turned out ssd (768gb!) appears ok. guy @ genius bar suggested third party external casing use (a) access data (since said apple charges $90cad or transfer over) , (b) use ssd external drive in future. kind enough remove ssd me. i found below option: https://eshop.macsales.com/item/owc/mau3envoypro/ i'm wondering if there other less expensive alternatives? couldn't find else online. owc enclosure not outrageously expensive i'm looking thrifty since don't plan on making use of it. thank much!   i in similar situation, 2013 500gb blade ssd after buying used rmbp mid 2015. noticed ssd installed 2013, complained , got later faster ssd plus keep ...
