Hundreds of iPhone Users Complain About the Word 'It' Autocorrecting to 'I.T' on iOS 11 and Later

@ least few hundred iphone users , counting have complained word "it" autocorrecting "i.t" on ios 11 , later.

when affected users type word "it" text field, keyboard first shows "i.t" quicktype suggestion. after tapping space key, word "it" automatically changes "i.t" without tapping predictive suggestion.

growing number of iphone users have voiced frustrations issue on macrumors discussion forums, twitter, , other discussion platforms on web since shortly after ios 11 released in late september.

macrumors reader tim shared video appears indicate issue can cause word "is" autocorrected "i.s" well.

many users claim apparent autocorrect bug persists after rebooting device , performing other basic troubleshooting.

temporary workaround tap settings > general > keyboard > text replacement , enter "it" both phrase , shortcut, users insist solution not solve problem.

less ideal workaround toggle off auto-correction and/or predictive suggestions under settings > general > keyboard.

issue notable given apple addressed similar bug caused letter "i" autocorrect "a[?]" on ios 11 , later. fix included in ios 11.1.1, publicly released in november.

similar "it" "i.t" issue not appear fixed in ios 11.1.1 , later. it's unclear if future software update required address problem, macrumors hasn't been able reproduce. apple did not respond multiple requests comment particular issue.
