iPhone X: capacitive-Touch gloves don’t work?


so it’s 11 degrees f am. whip out mujjo capacitive-touch gloves have served me many years. thought “faceid make winter convenient since don’t have de-glove unlock phone!”

can’t touch register on iphone x’s screen using gloves.

me? else try yet these or other touch-enabling gloves?
 

i tried morning , worked not near other phones. had move finger around bit , try different edges of glove. assumed glove issue. blistering 40 degrees morning here! :)

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
