iPhoto 9.6 doesn't load LIVE photos. Makes comp SLOW HELP!


i have problem. prefer old iphoto 9.6 9.6 can't understand iphone live photos show .mov files , don't import. when go import new photos have wait allllll data load on these live photos (which takes ton of cpu power) , makes super slow. don't want upgrade iphoto because fb albums synced , new iphoto doesn't have flag feature, has hearts/favorites not same. question should upgrade lightroom , show live photos? can disable these mov preview files doesn't slow down cpu?

specs macbook pro 2009 os x el capitan 8 gb ram, 2tb media drive in place of dvd drive, 256gb ssd os img_5173.jpg

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
