iMac external HD recommendation?


getting first imac next week - 5k 27" 2015 model. excited leave pc world behind.

machine has 1tb fusion drive. have approx 1.5tb of files on pc, external drive use main storage medium (or enclosure - have 2 wd internal drives in pc potentially use suppose).

can guys recommend me external drive? need fast enough stream hd video - issue days? need thunderbolt drive or usb3 fast enough?
- idea of 2 drive setup in raid backup.

in advance knowledge can share.
 

i’d 2 or 4 drive enclosure, checkout owc @ macsales.com or akitio thunderbolt 3 product line. can create raid0 or raid1 of 2 drive (assuming same capacity).

OWC Envoy Pro SSD Enclosure - Alternatives?
