Instagram Adding 'Recommended for You' Posts to Main Feed

instagram has been testing "recommended you" feature rolling out users, reports techcrunch. recommended posts show in standard image feed , suggested based on posts liked accounts follow.

when shown in feed, these posts denoted label @ top marks them recommended, similar how sponsored posts handled. recommended posts, though, instagram shows several in row instead of one.

recommended posts , videos have been displayed in explore tab, being featured more prominently. instagram users have several feed interruptions, including these new recommended posts, sponsored posts, , stories.

according instagram spokesperson spoke techcrunch, recommended posts meant appear "after you've viewed posts in feed." there no disabling recommended feature, recommended posts can temporarily hidden tapping 3 dots @ top of recommended post , choosing "hide."
