A Plus owner’s conversion to the X
the first iphone ever owned 4 , when heard larger iphones coming out thrilled, , buyer of 6 plus, last year upgraded 7 plus wanted 2x camera, photography being 1 of interests , uses iphone. got beautiful jet black 7 plus loved , when first heard of new x rather sceptical , and @ first not going buy 3 reasons;
so did not rush order on first order day, little after launch visited local apple store check out, particularly 2x camera (which use most), had heard better on x 7 plus. few tests @ store found 7 plus , 8 plus cameras alike eyes, x better. results looked more dslr, considerably less pixelation.
- was not sure how effective face id particularly wear glasses
- did not of notch
- was not keen on new aspect ratio narrower screen plus
went ahead , ordered silver x plus 256gb. waiting time 3 weeks , @ last arrived friday morning.
must x has exceeded expectations in virtually every respect. face id works flawlessly - has worked every time, better touch id failed when finger greasy or wet. @ phone , opens without fail still seems incredible.
have once gone hit missing home button, on first day, prefer swipe guestures. thought having separate button part of navigation on touch screen device unintuitive. in fact remember first time ever picked iphone looking on screen return home screen.
swipe bottom seems work , have no trouble getting app switcher. not 1 use phone single handed, swiping top right control center not worry me. particularly being able swipe sideways across bottom switch apps. lot quicker , useful facility.
screen looks great, honest don’t see difference in quality 7 plus screen - both perfect eyes.
have far once been able use camera real, seems hoped.
animoji wife loves, so wants x replace 6 plus. thankfully order times down 10 days.
initial concerns, notch forgot after 5 minutes , not worry me @ in use. narrow screen has surprisingly not worried me either , how x feels in hand , in pocket, have no wish go larger if apple bring out new plus next year, particularly ipad pro 12.9” gets used work when out , about.
no regrets - absolutely delighted new iphone x.
