Mac Pro set up help


i advice please. i’m looking @ mac pro because, freelance designer, enable
me link old imac , use imac display. have imac @ home can use mac pro in same way. question is, when visit clients able use 2009 macbook pro in same way?
can use laptop display mac pro? macbook pro has ‘mini display port’ not thunderbolt.
if possible make work more flexible.

looking 8 core, 32gb ram, d700 graphics, , 256mb storage.

have external hd , external dvd.

i’m 3d designer working in live events. use illustrator , photoshop along sketchup.

render out of sketchup using shaderlight may transfer vray.
rendering speed need @ moment.

great if possible , if cables need
 

i’m assuming leave mac @ home , bring mbp, , want use terminal pro?

i’m not sure cable issue rather screen share issue. , if doing remotely need remote control software (with appropriate security) , decent connection. expect clients give wifi access?

if have wrong please feel free elaborate further.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
