Help! Siri and dictation not working [watchOS 4.2]

hi everyone,

got apple watch series 3 aluminum (no lte) few months ago when came out.
working fine, no issues siri , dictation not working. hadn't tried use them in awhile since updating os 4.2 believe think may have been broke functionality. in contact apple chat support , they've set me genius appointment swapped out.

have tried:

- unpairing , restoring backup
- unpairing , starting new install
- turning off , on bluetooth on iphone
- tried on wifi, tried on lte only
- turnining off , on siri on iphone , watch
- turning off , on both devices

after setting watch new , still running issues you'd think limited watch , maybe hardware. made phone call watch , voice heard know microphone isn't broken.

else have similar issue? how did fix it? there way me maybe download beta version of latest watch software , see if works then?

 

beta software on watch has decent chance of bricking watch, release developers.
