Scroll lagging after every 5 seconds please help


can please me annoyed lag, normal behavior? every time pause scroll 5 seconds lags before can scroll again. there small lagging of half second annoys me scrolling not smooth. not sure how started, think has been there.

not matter if use trackpad or external logitech mouse, lags there!

happens in programs, browsers, apps!

me, looks kind of power saver feature. because notice happens after touch bar dims.

can help? thanks


edit:

i think found solution: kind of power saving feature.

went to:
system preferences > keyboard > uncheck turn keyboard backlight off

after that, have not seen "problem". explains why don't lag when have power adapter connected.... daaah!

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
