Will Samsung replace my failing SSD?


i have macbook pro retina 2014 that's out of warranty.
has samsung jpu512 blade ssd shutting down unexpectedly every day no reason.

have written 15 tb of data on it. can ask samsung replacement?
 

if i'm not mistaken, jpu512 ssd apple put in mbp's , sold samsung oem part. such, warranty come through apple, not samsung. if bought through ebay or similar, whatever warranty seller offered (likely none) apply. if apple replaced recently, there might warranty there. if it's original ssd came mbp, warranty ssd expired @ same time mbp warranty did.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
