my disk got full (screencast app running , took space). while trying fix computer restarted , won't boot.
drive has 0 free space.
#1 - tried
tried clean space in single user mode. unfortunately can't mount drive in rewritable mode:
when type "mount -uw /" kernel panics , reboots itself.
error shown:
panic(cpu caller 0x3044262): "jnl: transaction big (1569280 >= 1572352 bytes,
bufsize 4096, tr 0x8b4cfac bp 0x57e8fcf0)"
@/sourcecache/xnu/xnu-1504.15.3/bsd/vfs/vfs_journal.c:2481
#2 - tried:
created bootable usb. when try boot mac (via option command) following happens: can see drice, choose it, starts loading , kernel panics again.
(this usb works on other mac)

it if told mac have, year made, , ports have on it.
if can't "get connected" other mac using target disk mode, have alternative course of action take.
but... it requires use external drive.
i'd suggest:
- all need done on other mac
- have external drive ready , connected. or use usb flashdrive (but need @ least 32gb)
- boot other mac using usb flashdrive installer
- now, choose install clean copy of os onto external drive. (you may need erase first hfs+ journaling enabled).
- when done, installer should boot external drive.
- now, set "base account" -- want able boot external drive , reach finder.
once that's done, this:
- connect external drive problem mac
- boot external drive (hold down option key after hear startup sound, , keep holding down until startup manager appears -- select external drive , hit return)
- can problem mac booted , running finder way?
- if so, internal drive "mount" on desktop (even if it's full)?
- if so, can delete stuff (such screencase file). want rid of stuff, , clean off internal drive.
once toss stuff out, -might- able boot it.
if -can't- mount internal, course of action may "nuke it" (erase hfs+ journaling enabled) , "start over" ...
