Has anyone gone from a i7 7th gen gaming rig to a iMAC?


and used gaming too? have i7-7700k, asus rog board, 16gb of memory, 1080 ftw gtx video card, corsair water cooling, 1000w season platinum ps, soungblaster x-fi or whatever called, phantek temperated glass case 34" ultrawide curved dell monitor.

so, wondering peoples thoughts going high-end imac? i'd sell parts put money towards imac. have late 2012 imac upgraded hd 1 external ssd, , works great, not gaming.

game once every 2 weeks these days. games played recently, cod infinite warfare, destiny 2, cod wwii (haven't bought it, tried it), gta.

maxed out macbook pro external monitor possibility.
 

why want go machine imac? not anywhere near same performance gaming...

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
