How to connect internal SSD externally on iMac

know how this.
bought crucial mx300 , considering install macos (el capitan) on before installed drive on imac.

1. fist of worth it, or should install on imac , have macos installed normally?

2. secondly, if you'd recommend install externally, how connect internal ssd externally? can imagine sata usb or firewire cable in order, i'm not sure power socket.

the ssd proprietary you're options limited.

know when buy transcend ssd for mbp provide enclosure older ssd, can maybe reach out , see if sell enclosures without ssd kit.

you're best bet sell on ebay though

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
