Macbook Air 2017 with 2560 x 1080 resolution possible?


hi,

purchased new macbook air 2017 , i'm thinking of buying monitor lg 25um58 desktop use. if go monitor page says has 2 hdmi 2 inputs.

i'm researching cables "mini displayport hdmi adapter" , of them max resolution hdmi cable 1920 x 1080. i'm guessing won't work because want 2560 x 1080 (the native monitor res)

can please tell how connect 2 together. cheapest way it?

p.s. i've checked seller , monitor i'm getting not have displayport :/

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
