Sierra menu bar, system preferences (among others) rendering issues at 4K


hello everyone!

upgraded dell u2713h aoc u3277fwq uhd monitor have more desktop real estate work with. unfortunately, neither mac mini (late 2012) nor 13" macbook pro (early 2015) seem 3840x2160 resolution much, both devices have substantial rendering issues:

(note 1 of "better" cases, menu bar , system preferences don't show except grey surface).

connected both devices minidp - dp cable, working fine in combination amd hd 7850 , windows 8.1, it's software issue. also, i'm aware of fact late 2012 mac mini doesn't officially support uhd, 2015 rmbp , still has same issues. both devices run macos 10.12.6.

have idea going wrong , how can fix it?

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
