iPhone 6(+) How to move media to iCloud to free up space


hi

wife has iphone 6 16gb. recently, storage getting full meaning have play around deleting things it. has photos , videos on it, thought easy solution 50gb icloud storage @ £0.79 per month , move photos/videos phone icloud free lot of space phone.

can’t figure out how this!

have bought 50gb icloud storage haven’t been able move photos/videos icloud.
possible, or can copy photos/videos phone icloud, meaning u can’t free space on iphone?!?

have been apple store , have said can done, when tried advised me when got home, didn’t work.

kind person please tell me if possible move photos/videos iphone icloud free storage on iphone.
if possible...could please explain how can (without risking losing photos/videos).

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
