using AppleCare to replace iPhone before selling: stupid or smart?


i'm sell iphone jet black 7 plus 256gb has 1 year of applecare left. has minor dings/scratches/abrasions screen overall fine.

i'm debating between 2 options:

a. use 1 of remaining 2 applecare accidental damage instances , pay $99 have phone replaced, in hopes of increasing sale price more $99.
b. sell phone , let buyer choose whether or not replace phone, hoping phone's condition won't decrease value more $99.

of these scenarios choose/recommend? thanks!
 

you aren't getting iphone? because call , applecare transferred new iphone. technically don't "transfer" cancel use balance on new phone. i'm waiting iphone x come can that.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
