Previous generation MacBook Pro models without GPU issues?


i've been thinking getting used macbook pro. i'd model made between mid 2010 , 2015, seems number of them have gpus give out on time. know, seems 2012 pre-retina models good, , pretty after mid 2013 okay too. there comprehensive list somewhere of models avoid?
 

not sure of comprehensive list, go 2015 mbp integrated graphics. apple not seem discrete graphics well, have had numerous failures on years.

have been keeping eye on model while in anticipation of mbp failing (due graphics card issues). if mbp failed tomorrow go with, of course opinion, others may differ.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
