12 Core MacPro (2010) – Should I upgrade to High Sierra ?

i'm running 10.12.6 on macpro 12 core (mid 2010) 64gb , 520gb ssd drive plus qty 3 x 3tb internal hdd drives.... plus 15tb drobos gen 2 (firewire).

want upgrade high sierra... core software has been updated compatible... have issues upgrading old macpro 2010.

inhave full backup on drobo of entire system (520gb boot drive plus qty 3 x 3tb internal hdd drives).... feel safe enough... nervous upgrading, machine gets old , older. should concerned apfs feature...?

upgrade new macpro 2017 touch bar , had no issues @ all.... have nothing important on computer wasn't worried if happened on there...but main work machine... different story computer.

comments or suggestions welcome.

to avoid downtime when upgrade macos hs goes wrong, please consider use carbon cloner copy external hdd/ssd.

great advantage of use of back-up application is, when misfortune strikes, can boot - power on + [alt] - ccc external bootable clone , can carry on working on mac pro, whilst ccc can clone macos sierra reformatted ssd!

ccc saved bacon many times!

cheers
