MacBook Air for work


i have mac/apple office except dell laptop bought new employees use training. dell has been disaster. since day 1 can barely go on internet. have added 0 software it...we need run internet based training modules. anyway, going replace because costing me $$ because training taking twice long should! current macbook air? or previous generation? have purchase @ best buy taking dell past return window. brilliant deals out there somewhere else?
 

we own several mbas in our house, , used professional software development, , college student life. 1 of best things them hold on time (the oldest 2011, 10.12 on it) , in place between function , portability. in mind, have used 1 of macs make sure can run training modules (every browser has quirks). screen size same? black friday time of year, , bb has deals of sort on apple gear. ad available.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
