X not restoring from backup

1 of iphone x's not restore backup. starts restore , says estimated time remaining , progress bar. after minute backup fails saying corrupt or not compatible , x restarts , either shows white background itunes logo , tip of lightning cable or 'hello' page, though when it's attached itunes shows renamed 'iphone 7' nothing on there old device. i've set new phone erased , hasn't worked either. i'm restoring iphone 7 (ios 11.1). successful on other x's when restoring same iphone 7 backup.

adding right side top of lock button bottom of sim tray stops extremely warm, more i've experienced in phone
 

may backup file corrupt. 1 thing open itunes click on edit > preferances > device tab. here list of backup have taken on itunes computer. select other backup , try restore.

Other Unknown error

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
