Airpods only playing on one side each time when connected to mac


airpods work when connected iphone when connect touch bar macbook pro, sound comes out on 1 side (right). when place right side airpod case sound comes out on left side. i’ve tried resetting airpods @ least 10 times it’s still same. if open ‘sound preferences’ on mac , sound comes out on both sides. close sound preferences, goes same problem - sound on right side only.

oddly, double tap (play/pause) feature on left airpod works when sound not come out on left side.

annoying giving me cancer... how can fix this?

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
