macOS could not be installed on your computer

i have 15" macbook pro (late 2011) freshly formatted 500 gb (mac os extended journal - guid partition map) hard drive i'm attempting install high sierra on keeps running error @ end seemingly looks/feels full install process.

downloaded high sierra 10.13.2 app store used console make bootable installer macos on 32mb usb thumb drive. appears working fine because goes through entire install process until end when error message "macos not installed on computer" occurs.

full msg:
"macos not installed on computer. error occurred installing mac os. use apple diagnostics check mac hardware, shutdown, press power button, , hold "d" key intel diagnostics begins" (see attached image).

things i've tried:
- ran extended hardware test apple hardware test tool , "no trouble found (see attached image).
- switching different freshly formatted hard drive—same error.
- internet recovery mode (grinds away hour , screen goes white (for hours) no message).
- start in safe mode (does not work there no os on desk).
- reformatting 2 different hard drive multiple times (mac os extended journal - guid partition map).
- reset nvram, pram, , smc (multiple times).

mac specs:
macbook pro 15.4" - late 2011
quad-core intel i7
cpu speed 2.20 ghz
display 1440x900
graphic: intel hd graphics 3000
amd radeon hd 6750m
8 gb ram

have ideas? appreciate help.

 

almost graphics failure. have apple store nearby can run tests?

only other thing cause issues similar described faulty ram, though manifests indefinitely installing os rather outright failing @ end. i’m convinced it’s gpu, you’ve tried different hdds , 2011s notorious graphics failure.
