Auto CarPlay can't control home thermostat?


so have tado thermostat (which brilliant) , apple tv , connected correctly can remotely control thermostat through siri / apple home kit - good.

however, whenever try change home temperature setting in car, through carplay, says cannot control car temperature through carplay.

frustrating, not wanting change car temperature - can easily, siri refuses instructions change home temperature via carplay interface... thinks trying change car settings (which cannot do, , tells me so).

winding me big time, convenient hands free on way home whilst driving.

have similar problems or ideas on fix?
 

why expect carplay update non-car non-iphone item? carplay lets use iphone functions on car screen , speakers - isn't else

Other Unknown error

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
