Port multiplier on internal drive bays on Mac Pro 5,1?


is there way port multiplier functionality on internal drive bays on mac pro 5,1? (i assume default hasn't. haven't been able find information suggest support.)

want run few of these 2.5" drives in jbod configuration: http://a.co/gzstq2i

if solution @ same time brings drive bays sata 3 bonus.
 

i believe linked startech adapter supposed want out of box. appears convert 2 sata ports 1 port, takes 2 drives enclosure, , lets decide raid level 0 or 1, or jbod or spanning. seem want jbod, in believe both of drives should show separate volumes. behavior seems supported without equipment in pc or mac.

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
