Resolved ADMIN RIGHTS!!!

hi guys don’t know fourms or can give out without big backlash of why handed information out (because know theifs!) wanted tell people thing found allowed me make own user account had administrative privileges without single-user mode....

here’s deal i’m in year 10 , live in australia (or grade 10 states people ). best friend left school become carpenter. going year given macbook air school purposes (so no admin, no imessages, no facetime , efi firmware password). gave macbook me literally tonight take @ , disappointed find command-s didn’t work , holding option prompted me lock icon , password bar (so firmware lock)... went researching, found whilst doing nothing, absolutely nothing! (other go apple or go place got aka school)

more story! apparently screwed date , time after removing battery connector making surfing web litterally impossible because current certificates invalid since 01/01/2014 isn’t 31/12/2017 (or 12/31/2017 us). saying made macbook air brick... , what’s more fun didn’t have admin force sync update time servers... surfing internet fix @ least mate use internet , suprise found fix! running commands:
‘security authorizationdb write system.preferences allow‘
and
‘security authorizationdb write system.preferences.timedate allow’
had gained access editing date & time settings in control panel change timezone cupertino , sydney (which synced time servers location).

more story! after seeing command unlock locked padlock icon in lower left corner of screen intrigued else security command do... looked around online see list of things command edit without sudo.. surprised found...

resolution:

yes made new years resolution (last year) happen hack both mac , windows! without further adu how did on macos sierra firmware lock , non-admin user account.

step 1: find spotlight icon (top right hand corner of mac)

step 2: find , open terminal

step 3: type:
‘security authorizationdb write system.preferences allow’ hit enter

step 4: type:
‘security authorizationdb write system.preferences.accounts allow’
hit enter

step 5: open control panel , navigate user & account control

step 6: press plus icon in bottom left hand

step 7: type name, username, password (optional), hint (required password present) , press enter

step 8: log out

step 9: volla! there’s brand new account admin privlages!

step 10: log in , enjoy!



reading guys , ask me if need else.. i’m still working on firmware lock after having admin i’m pretty sure it’s easy remove lock!

 

without trying of out, i'm gonna i'm dubious @ best. if nothing else because step 7 talks ability create new admin account, yet new account selector (administrator|standard|managed parental controls|sharing only) needs set admin in order create administrator account.

in addition, i'm thinking account started had more permissions usual if able 'bypass' security way.

i've not got spare disposable macbook fritz with, until more independent confirmation provided i'm gonna class 'shenanigans'.
