apple's next-generation iphone models released in 2018 feature intel's xmm 7560 , qualcomm's snapdragon x20 modems, enabling faster lte transmission speeds, according kgi securities analyst ming-chi kuo.

kuo highlighted both new chips support 4x4 mimo technology, compared 2x2 mimo in latest iphone models, leads him believe lte transmission speeds increase in 2018 iphones.
in latest research note, obtained macrumors, kuo predicted intel supply apple 70 80 percent or more of baseband chips.
kuo predicted next year's iphone models feature dual-sim dual standby (dsds), support lte+lte connections, allows 2 sim cards active simultaneously using 1 set of chips.
it's not entirely clear if new iphones have dual sim card slot or if 1 of sim cards embedded device.

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
