$379 USD for Applecare+, worth it?


wow, $379 lot applecare+, worth brand new (two week old) mbp 15-inch w touch bar?

it's big chunk of change insurance policy. mbp leaves house accidental screen or clam shelling damage unlikely.
 

i thought read it's still possible ac have request ?

have never bought ac or ac+ newer build methods can push repairs >$700 these days i'm not sure

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fine
