com.apple.screensaver script


hi fellas,

been trying find solution deployment of our macs. been searching web find out how force password on log in , delaytimer set immediately.

every search did, did find same answer on , on again write:

defaults write com.apple.screensaver askforpassword -int 1
defaults write com.apple.screensaver askforpassworddelay -int 0

dont know if late updates did command, doesnt work when im typing in terminal on high sierra v.10.13.1 & 10.13.2

appreciate can get working. thanks!
 

did log out , log in changes take effect? did receive error in terminal? please provide more info others can you. stating doesn't work isn't enough.

Other Unknown error

com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930878

here's odd one! 1 of our 2015 macbook air notebooks in office crashed , became unbootable after user clicked high sierra upgrade sierra on it. tried sorts of things working again, including both internet recovery , regular recovery. each time, partially install high sierra , stop error saying, "macos not installed on computer", followed specific error code mentioned in message subject line. have identically configured air (8gb ram, 512gb ssd, core i7) upgraded sierra high sierra without problems @ all, should work! thing able problem machine installing sierra usb thumb drive. did that, of user's data accessible again (nothing lost, thankfully!) , working normally. tried running high sierra upgrade again fresh app store download, hoping original issue stupid user powering computer off in middle of upgrade process. nope! exact same error , resulting unbootable machine. computer passes apple hardware tests flying colors , seems fin...
