First Impressions Positive Overall!

ok first impressions then. bear in mind compared 6s (non-plus) ymmv.

pros :

screen : size , expansiveness fantastic compared 6s, on forums 1 use lot. nice , sharp , bright can expected. happy screen not edge edge because use case raised edges around side protect drops.

battery : ace. literally been on day since 5am when baby woke , @ 42% battery. 6s needed charging halfway through day half same useage.

interface : in general, new gestures replace home button work fantastically , whizzing if never had home button save 1 thing (see cons), , new face id related stuff quality (see non-issues)

cpu / processing : sowhizzy compared 6s. apps painful use marvel unlimited fast in comparison. maybe ram helps well.

camera : played lot of stuff today , great, , 2x zoom didn't realise. portrait stuff quality taking pics of kids, shame both snotty today. haven't played animoji yet doubt i'll use out of that.

wireless charging: ok old technology, i'm comparing 6s didn't have it, love this. had qi compatible matt , works great. no more scrabbling cables @ 2am in morning.

cons :

screen : truetone, nonsense. makes screen tinted yellow. followed instructions on here adjust calibration shouldn't have , i'm close turning off. screen colours change different viewing angles if bothers you.

one-handed use : it's not useable 6s in 1 hand. reachability turned off default (wtf) , isn't easy invoke reliably double-tap of home button. on, things impossible 1 handed, used possible on 6s. note have tiny asian hands :)

case : have official apple red leather case , because of way interact bottom of screen (swiping , down) there no "lip" covering phone @ bottom. if drop on bottom glass going smash. not sure how feel this, have ordered 3rd party case amazon goes way round , see how affects usability. house hard floors fyi.

non-issues :

face id - after initial wtf period i've got down , absolutely spot on. in instances better touch id - @ notifications, , phone unlocks automatically , can go straight e.g. email or football scores or whatever app notification came unlike touch id have unlock phone manually first. opening e.g. natwest banking app logs in straight away without pressing touch id, notifications quieter if looking @ phone, stuff fantastic.
note - switched off setting requires directly @ phone unlock.

apps - lot of apps have not been updated x screen size yet. i'm going put down adopter tax, in 3-6 months time if still case becomes definite con.

notch - whatever, if want complain suit yourself.

"plus" - isn't replacement plus sized phones. display not wide. wont happy if need width. non issue me coming 6s.

overall
way pleased it. it's not without faults quality upgrade 6s , best normal sized iphone can get. can't speak plus sized phones having never owned one. i'd give 8/10 @ stage, love it's not worth £1000 if need money food, kids, holidays or whatever instead.

questions ask!
