Bizarre iPhone X Activation Issue

can't seem figure 1 out guys. ordered iphone x on apple.com through sprint account full retail. received last week, not activate included sim. called sprint hours , couldn't figure out. advised me call apple did. not figure out what's going on despite using multiple wifi networks , restoring phone through itunes sent me replacement.

replacement doing same thing saying cannot reach activation server. error message "could not activate iphone. iphone not activated because activation server temporarily unavailable." called apple again , it's on sprint's end. went sprint store , can't figure out either.

so, have genius bar reservation next week, not sure if has insight?

husband had same issue. had stay until 11 pst (when people aren't trying activate phones) , got work.
