short version: placed order went through @ 10/27, reservation came through @ 12:11 pacific. reservation never turned order despite fact account in order, $0 balance , had pre-ordered , taken delivery on iphone 8 different line 6 weeks ago. reservation disappeared so, in panic, placed second order late @ 11:15 pm on 10/27. phone showed delivery date of dec 11-18. then, mysterious reason, original reservation came alive, 1 theoretically had 11/3 delivery. on phone repeatedly saturday, sunday, monday , tuesday, got senior cs call me tuesday evening. said working on it.
tuesday night, second order disappeared, reservation stayed alive , still alive. no confirmation email.
5 minute ago, got call apple cs. said second order had been changed , me log in. sure enough, there is: delivers 29 nov, 2017 - 06 dec, 2017 2-3 business days.
that, apparently best can do. phone ordered in faith solid apple customer delivered month late that's great news because @ least not having wait until christmas eve.
can or me. take or leave it. not offered additional incentives although, in fairness, didn't ask any.
in 2 words, sucks. shabby , sloppy , guess given no additional consideration trouble. phone delivered right along every other customer switching lg or samsung , ordered 2 days after big rush.
i'm not going dump apple products today next time tablet, maybe i'll consider surface. have employee 6 needs replaced @ christmas, maybe should see how likes google pixel. have old iphones activated volunteers, maybe can dig cheap android phones. hell, have 7, maybe i'll keep , cancel x.
won't forget this.
