Intel Teams Up With AMD for New 8th-Generation Processors With AMD GPUs

longtime rivals intel , amd are joining forces produce new 8th-generation h-series intel mobile processors paired stacked second-generation high bandwidth memory , custom-built discrete graphics amd, intel announced today.

for new h-series chips, feature of above listed components in single processor package, intel says using embedded multi-die interconnect bridge (emib), power-sharing framework reduces standard silicon footprint less half of standard discrete components on motherboard.

so rumors true! brilliant although might not ideal 15" end (shorter lived) mac pro situation. architecture perfect 13" mbp if/when comes u-series chips.
