Other Why does Apple sell us processors they already know are too power hungry to maintain performance?

so apple designs series processors iphone years ahead of time.

problem already know last 4 years of processors (iphone 6, 6s, 7, 8 , x) power hungry maintain performance after year or point need throttled or have shutdowns.

why ok? seems kind of shady apple touting how fast processors ad nauseum @ every keynote event, yet sell products customers knowing full ahead of time won’t maintain level of performance

imagine if bought electric car , manufacturer knew ahead of time engine power hungry , throttle engine 50% after first year
