Resolved External HD won't allow me to transfer files

hi! have purchased macbook pro few weeks ago , haven't had problems file transfers far (old macbook new one). used wd 2tb passport ms-dos format , run paragon ntfs can use it.

today, external started acting after transferred last remaining files old macbook (mid 2012), backed data , reformatted external ms-dos again. transferring data original external hd, noticed there files cannot transferred because says volume full.

example: can transfer 30gb folder no problems, when try transfer 6gb folder, says can't because it's full.

doing wrong? wasn't before reformatted , fine when used old macbook.

 

if take guess, think because may have had drive formatted @ ntfs, have formatted fat32, , fat32 has several limitations cause see error.

ms-dos refers fat32, macos can read , write without needing 3rd party app. paragon used ntfs, macos can read not write default.

fat32 has relatively low limit on maximum file size, believe 4gb. if try transfer larger file, can error. may why cannot transfer folder external, may have file exceeds maximum file size (where 30 gb folder not have single file exceeds maximum file size, why works correctly.)

possible had drive formatted ntfs, , formatted fat32? if so, explain issue, , solution reformat drive in either ntfs (where need paragon...using ntfs makes sense if plugging drive windows computer), hfs+ (macos extended, ideal file format unless either use drive more windows device, or absolutely need have shared win/mac access), or exfat (which works on both win , mac non-journaling filesystem despise , not recommend using imo exfat garbage.)
