Apple TV 4K HDR issue! (Samsung TV 65" Class MU8000 4K UHD TV, Denon AVRX1400H, Cinnamon HDMI)

howdy support community,

few days ago, purchased myself new home theater setup, having 2 issues, i'll list them below , attempts have been made rectify these issues @ hand:

issue a:

when route apple tv > denon avr (media player input) > samsung tv (arc input hdmi out input) either cinnamon hdmi or belkin 4k high speed hdmi cables, cannot atv activate hdr mode, 4k sdr mode. i've tried apple's suggested cables, belkin 4k high speed hdmi cables. still doesn't work! suspect there settings on actual denon avrx1400h. put call denon morning tier 1 support (they have crap support hours pst, close @ 4 p.m., work till 6 p.m. pst). have upgraded next support tier. tier 2 can me fix part of issue, it'd nice have of inputs through avr rather apple tv separate else! #firstworldproblems

attempts fix:

i've tried different cables (cinnamon , belkin).

i've tried plugging each of different ports.

i've tried playing avr settings.

issue b:

when have atv > tv, can access hdr fine, chroma 4.2.0 or 4.2.2.... either way seem have under saturated user interface. when tv in sdr, color fine. unsure if settings in samsung tv, it's capable of hdr (hdr extreme, hdr10+), not dolby vision though, samsung doesn't want pay royalties that.

attempts fix:

issue, i've looked in settings on television , have not been able find magical setting other forum posts have given, , none of settings have played have fixed color issue. went apple stores @ tv setup, have lg monitors support dolby vision, setup going different mine. color on deeper , looks good, while mine looking saturated.

basic research faq:

denon states: "it's cables!" = tried didn't work!

apple states: "it's denon avr / samsung tv settings individually need tweaked!"

samsung states: .... didn't have say, yet!

else has had issue, it's hard pinpoint exact issue is, i've had talk support channels each of devices, still haven't pinpointed issue. hired av guy didn't know either. he's young might why, did indicate had seen issue before. if have thoughts or possibly solution, appreciate it.

avr looks hdmi deep colour or enhanced 4k or named similar not turned on. isn't on default.

hdr picture presets different normal sdr presets , need tweaked. try activating dynamic contrast/colour see if makes picture more liking.
